Joseph Markson inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers

The International Academy of Trial Lawyers is a group of elite trial lawyers, including prosecutors and defense lawyers in criminal cases, as well as plaintiffs’ and defense counsel in civil litigation. The Advocates' Society and the American College of Trial Lawyers hosted the 16th Annual Spring Symposium in Toronto. Joseph was featured as a panelist discussing “Practical Privilege Issues: The Intersection between Criminal and Civil Law."

Inquests present special advocacy challenges, and effective counsel must possess procedural knowledge, creativity, judgment and specialized forensic skill. The Advocates’ Society’s event provided attendees with expertise to assist clients in the process. Joseph Markson presented on the faculty at this event, and provided a demonstration of cross-examination techniques for attendees.
