The charge against the Durham Regional Police Service’s Deputy Chief has been withdrawn by the Ontario Civilian Police Commission further to the Commission’s finding of no reasonable prospect of conviction in the matter. Markson Law secures favourable outcome in matter involving Ontario police officer
All charges have been withdrawn against a police officer of the Ontario Provincial Police at the request of the Crown further to the Crown’s assessment that there was no reasonable prospect of conviction in the matter. Joseph Markson will present at this year’s Police Association of Ontario (PAO) Employment Conference.
The conference brings together police leaders and executives to discuss topics of collective bargaining, inclusion, harassment and discrimination, and legal updates facing law enforcement organizations today. Charges laid against Crown witness in Markson Law matter
Markson Law represented a police officer of the Niagara Regional Police Service whose matter concluded in December 2021 with a stay of charges at the request of the Crown after the credibility of the Crown’s key witness was called into question.
