Appeals and Legal Opinions

Markson Law practices appellate litigation, and represents individuals in appeals against conviction or sentence in criminal proceedings. Counsel regularly act at all levels of Court in Ontario as well as the Supreme Court of Canada, including in leading cases on constitutional law issues. Markson Law brings decades of experience navigating complex criminal and regulatory cases to their work, as well as discerning judgment and in-depth knowledge of the law and the appellate process. Our lawyers also bring prior experience as Crown Counsel in Ontario’s Crown Law Office Criminal, which has carriage of the province’s criminal appeals. Kate Robertson previously acted as a judicial law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada.
